The Johansen Larsen Foundation is a private charitable foundation that provides grants to organizations that offer programming to enrich the lives of those marginalized in our communities (both human and animal). We emphasize the importance of initiatives that foster learning and well-being, which are both accessible and inclusive. Welcome to our Survey Monkey Apply application portal.
WHAT DO WE FUND?
Each year we only provide funding for programs related to two of our focus areas. In 2024, our focus areas are Marginalized Children and Youth, and Reconciliation.
Look on this webpage for our guiding principles for grant-making, grant amounts, as well as a list of expenses that are ineligible for funding.
HOW TO APPLY FOR FUNDING
This application portal can be used by organizations who are looking to apply for funding from the Johansen Larsen Foundation. Here are the steps:
If you have not done so already, open an account with Survey Monkey Apply. If you have previously applied for a grant from the JLF through Survey Monkey Apply, please use the same account you used previously to log in.
By March 15th, complete an Intent to Apply Form, which includes verifying that you are eligible for funding from our Foundation.
By April 15th, our Board will determine which organizations will be invited to complete a full application for funding.
By June 1st, submit a full application for funding (if invited to do so).
By July 15th, you will receive a letter informing you of our Board's decision regarding which grant applications have been successful.
IF WE PROVIDED FUNDING TO YOU LAST YEAR, YOU WILL BE EXPECTED TO COMPLETE A POST-AWARD REPORT BY JUNE 1ST BEFORE YOU CAN SUBMIT A NEW APPLICATION FOR FUNDING. IN LATE JANUARY, YOU WILL RECEIVE AN EMAIL FROM US WITH DETAILS ABOUT HOW TO COMPLETE YOUR POST-AWARD REPORT.
